Facial skin rejuvenation, also called a photofacial, involves a treatment plan that improves your appearance and makes your skin look and feel more healthy and attractive. Other areas, such as the neck, chest, back and hands, can also be treated. Skin rejuvenation can reduce wrinkles and loose skin, fade brown spots, improve skin texture, refine pores, and remove red blotches and facial veins. Anti-aging products may be used such as tretinoin cream and glycolic acid preparations, Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments and filler substances may be used, and procedures such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, intense pulsed light, Skin Tightening with Radio Frequency , Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing, Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing and photodynamic therapy may be performed. Sun protection is mandatory.

FLT is a unique approach to treating aging skin, wrinkles, pigmentation and acne scars. The face, neck, chest, back, arms and hands can be treated. Several sessions are usually required, and it can be used in combination with other treatments, such as intense pulsed light and photodynamic therapy. The result is smooth, fresh, radiant, healthy skin.

Most teenagers will outgrow their acne, but some acne persists into adulthood or even develops in an adult with no previous history. Dr. Gidon can assess your acne and determine what treatment plan would be most beneficial for you. She can recommend non-prescription products and if necessary, topical and oral medication. Various procedures may speed improvement, such as microdermabrasion, light chemical peels, or photodynamic therapy. Acne scarring can be treated with the Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing or Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser.

Rosacea consists of a red face, spider veins and pimples. Dr. Gidon can prescribe medication for the pimples and photodynamic therapy. The redness and spider veins can be improved with intense pulsed light treatments or laser treatments. Our soothing facials help calm skin.

Light chemical peels, microdermabrasion, microneedling, intense pulsed light treatments, Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing and Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing treatments help brighten and smooth skin. We carry anti-aging products for home use to help maintain the effects of the treatments.

Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments will help smooth dynamic lines and wrinkles on the forehead, brow, around crow’s feet and lips, and on the chin and neck. Filler substances, such as Injectable Fillers, can soften creases, especially around the nose, mouth and chin, and can also enhance lips. Light chemical peels, microdermabrasion, intense pulsed light treatments, Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing or Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser treatments, Microneedling FRM, and anti-aging products also help diminish fine lines. All of these procedures complement each other to give the best possible results.

Poly-L-lactic Acid Injections is a synthetic injectable product made of poly-L-lactic acid. It restores the volume of depressed areas of the face, such as skin creases, wrinkles and folds to give aging skin a more youthful appearance. Three treatments are usually necessary, about six weeks apart, and the skin gradually thickens over several months. The results last about two years.

Effective measures to prevent lip lines include the use of sun protection and avoidance of smoking or drinking with a straw. Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments and filler substances can greatly enhance your lips. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion can help soften lines and stimulate new collagen formation. Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing and Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser treatments smooth lines. Microneedling, with or without PRP, can stimulate collagen to soften the lines.

Sun avoidance is very important. Intense pulsed light or Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing and Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser treatments can fade brown age spots and improve the texture of the skin. Microdermabrasion, light chemical peels and anti-aging products also help to maintain the effects of treatment. Injections of fillers or calcium hydroxylapatite can plump the backs of the hands.

Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing, Microneedling FRM, and Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser treatments smooth and tighten neck skin, and decrease brown pigmentation. Skin Tightening with Radio Frequency tightens skin on the neck and jawline. Intense pulsed light fades red blotches on the neck. Light chemical peels and microdermabrasion soften skin and give a polished appearance. Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments relaxes tight neck bands and softens the lines around the neck.

Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments are purified proteins that are injected into specific muscles that cause unwanted dynamic wrinkles. Once movement of those muscles has stopped, the wrinkles smooth out and fade. Filler substances are usually gels that are injected under a crease or line to plump it up, or for lip enhancement.

Ingredients such as tretinoin, retinol, glycolic acid, and vitamin C are added to creams and lotions to reverse sun damage, give a smoother, brighter complexion, fade brown spots, minimize pores and soften fine lines. These products also help maintain the effects of procedures such as intense pulsed light, photodynamic therapy, Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing, Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Sunscreen should be applied every day to prevent future damage and it is important to limit sun exposure.

Heat delivered to the skin causes tightening of the collagen and the production of new collagen. This tightening effect gives a mini face-lift, with elevation of the brows, firming of the jaw line and improvement of skin texture. In addition to the face, eyelids, arms, thighs and the abdomen can also be treated for a tightening effect.

Photodynamic therapy involves a medication that is applied to skin and then activated by a blue light, laser or intense pulsed light. It destroys sun damaged cells, shrinks oil glands, and can improve skin texture, acne and oiliness.

Intense pulsed light treatments and laser therapy can help fade spider veins and brown spots caused by aging or the sun. Almost any area can be treated, including your face, neck, chest, back, arms and hands. Light chemical peels, microdermabrasion and fading creams can also help fade brown spots.

Laser or intense pulsed light treatments result in permanent hair reduction. Electrolysis destroys the hair root and can result in permanent clearing of hair. Both of these procedures require repeat treatments. We also offer waxing for temporary removal of hair.

One of the many uses of Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments, besides the cosmetic improvement of wrinkles, is to control excessive sweating of the underarms, hands and feet, and the forehead. This effect may last up to nine months.

Most of these procedures do not require any recovery time; however, some patients may have a bruise that lasts about one week after injections of Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments and filler substances. Bruising may also occur with treatment of spider veins. Avoidance of anti-inflammatory medication, vitamin E, green tea and alcohol about ten days before the procedures can reduce the likelihood of bruising. After Fractional Non-ablative Skin Resurfacing or Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser treatment of the face, there is redness and puffiness for a few days, and mild peeling for one to two weeks. Photodynamic therapy causes redness for several days and peeling for up to ten days.

The Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing laser is a CO2 fractional ablation laser that combines the effectiveness of the old traditional CO2 resurfacing lasers with the safety of fractional lasers. There is reduced downtime, faster healing time, and increased safety compared to traditional CO2 resurfacing and results are more dramatic than with a non-ablative laser. Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing is used to reduce wrinkles and lines, tighten loose, crêpey skin, and treat sun damage, pigmentation, brown age spots, and scarring in individuals with a fair complexion. It is not used on very dark complexions.
